Markoff’s Haunted Forest - scaring the pants off people since 1993 - is back with even more hair-raising thrills in the ghostly woods outside Poolesville. This year, Maryland’s original “Scare Attraction” features three terrifying trails:

The Woods - The original "Trail 1", this haunt takes you through a woodsy labrynth and into your nightmares. The collection of spooks and scenes will leave you breathless. This is Markoff's "classic" trail, and it's a MUST if this is your first experience with Markoff's.

The Hollow - The ever popular "Trail 2" is designed with hair-raising scenes and disturbing images that intertwine with the original trail. See what everyone is so scared of ... step into The Hollow if you dare!

The Town - Known to all as "Trail 3" and to many as the "Haunted Hayride," your terrifying trail starts and ends with a shuttle that drops you off in an old town filled with the worst that your imagination can throw at you - and too big to fit into the Markoff woods!
While you wait for your number to be called to take your turn on one of the trails of terror, shake off your nervous jitters by sipping hot apple cider and munching homemade kettle corn around the bonfire. Listen to the music and enjoy the entertainment.
For those seeking pre-trail thrills, spine tingling activities await (requiring separate tickets). Soar over the crowds on a 40-foot high Zip Line surrounded by smoke and fire. Climb up high, higher, higher, then step to the edge and experience the Death Jump. Sail through the air on the Giant Swings.
