Spend your Spring Break with your favorite ponies at Serene Acres Horseback Riding Camp in the beautiful Virginia countryside just outside Leesburg. From 9 am - 3 pm every day during spring break, campers of ALL LEVELS ages 7 and up will learn the fundamentals of horseback riding in a daily, mounted lesson as well as learn how to take care of the horses. Camp days are filled with fun activities with a focus on caring for the beautiful horses and ponies. Extended hours are available.

Campers are taught safety around horses and how to saddle and bridle. Riders are all matched to an appropriate sized horse or pony. Every day features a lesson on horseback in a small group setting. In addition to riding, campers will learn about taking care of horses by helping with traditional barn chores like feeding, watering, and grooming horses. Other activities during the week include games and crafts.

Serene Acres' horses and ponies are well trained, gentle and love being with children. Serene Acres is a United States Pony Club riding center. Each instructor is a qualified instructor and the staff is also highly trained.

• Directions from Leesburg - Exit off Route 7, go down hill (760) to Bluemont. Take left on Snickersville Turnpike and continue for about 2 miles. Take right on Yellow Schoolhouse Road and continue for about a mile. Once down hill and over small bridge, look out for Serene Acres on the right.

Ages:  Ages 7 and up.  Spring Break camp is limited to 12 campers. Each child receives personalized instruction and lots of time on the horse. 

Camp Information:

• Core hours are 9 am- 3 pm.  Extended hours of 8 am - 5 pm are available for additional $120 paid directly to Serene Acres.
