Summer Fun is going "Old School" - as in 18th century - at Carlyle House Historic Park in Alexandria. Camp Carlyle at Carlyle House combines fun, learning and costume play in a way that is sure to keep the 'Bored Birds' at bay. 

Carlyle Campers will explore the past by:

• Becoming history detectives and exploring the house looking for clues about John Carlyle’s life while learning about life in Alexandria during the 18th and 19th centuries.
• Exploring the life and times of the people who lived at Carlyle House through art, games and storytelling
• Learning about 18th century schooling, foodways, trade, money and  city life - and even having the opportunity to dress up in 18th century costume!
• Taking walking field trips to local museums in Old Town Alexandria
• Spending a day at George Washington's Mount Vernon!

Limited spaces are available in each of these one-week sessions:

• July 7th - 11th
• July 21st - 25th
• August 4th - 8th
