If you're looking to up your Insta game this year, head to one of these top spots in the Washington, D.C. area for a picture-perfect fall family photo op. 1     Hyattsville Color Walls

The Hyattsville art district is an up and coming neighborhood near College Park, Maryland. The historic downtown area has been revitalized with walls of art that are fun and colorful. While not your traditional fall foliage background, if you are looking for something really unique with pops of color, this location is for you.

2     Frying Pan Farm Park

Get out of the city and head to Herndon, Virginia to take some photos at the kid-friendly Frying Pan Farm Park. The multiple barns, farm equipment, and great wide open spaces are perfect for a casual country-style family shoot.

3     Jones Point Park

In a quiet corner of Old Town Alexandria is an extraordinary park positioned right on the Potomac River. Stunning views of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge and National Harbor make this waterfront location visually unique and will set you apart from other cookie cutter locations.

4     Library of Congress
