Air Force One Comes to National Harbor
A full-sized Air Force One replica was transported via barge on the Potomac River this week to National Harbor, Maryland. The Boeing 747 plane will be part of a new exhibit opening near the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center on October 19th called the Air Force One Experience. The 90-minute learning experience is an initiative of the Children's Democracy Project to teach children the importance of democracy. Visitors can tour the plane and see what it's like to be a president on Air Force One! This is a temporary exhibit expected to stay at National Harbor through the holiday season.

Two of our favorite local Halloween haunts open this weekend, Markoff's Haunted Forest in Dickerson, MD and Shocktober Haunted House at Paxton Manor in Leesburg, VA. This year, Markoff's is upping their game with a brand new Transylvania-themed terrifying hike through the trees. Shocktober at Paxton Manor features two hair-raising experiences -- a horrifying and haunted boarding school and a basement attraction full of creepy clowns and carnival carnage.
