National Sandwich Day 2019: Where to Score Deals and Freebies This Sunday

Whether you prefer a Po'Boy, Hoagie, Muffaletta, Beef on Weck, Lobster Roll, Italian Beef, Cuban, Reuben, Cheesesteak, Gyro, French Dip, B.L.T., Patty Melt, Pastrami on Rye, or a classic Grilled Cheese or PB&J, there's no question that when it comes to American gastronomy, the sandwich reigns supreme. In fact, we eat more than 300 million of them every.single.day! 

Our love for the sandwich runs so deep that there's even an entire day devoted to celebrating their deliciousness every year: #NationalSandwichDay on November 3rd. Lucky for us, some of our favorite sandwich havens and sub shops celebrate with mouthwatering deals and freebies. Check out our list of participating restaurants for 2019.

Firehouse Subs - Purchase a medium or large sub, chips and drink at Firehouse on National Sandwich Day and you will get a medium sub FREE. This offer is valid on November 3rd only and you must present a coupon.

McAlister's Deli - The chain will be celebrating National Sandwich Day by offering FREE delivery on DoorDash. Additionally, McAlister's Deli will offer special meal bundle offers inclusive of lemonade or fountain drink on DoorDash beginning one week prior to National Sandwich Day, on October 23rd. 

Potbelly - Potbelly Perks members will get 20% off all sandwiches from Sunday, Nov. 3-Saturday, Nov. 9. There will also be different kinds of daily deals which will be announced via the Perks account. You can sign up here to save your dough - perks begin immediately!

Penn Station East Coast Subs - The fast-casual restaurant known for its grilled, made-to-order sub sandwiches, will give customers a FREE 8-inch sandwich with the purchase of any 8-inch sandwich on Sunday, November 3rd. All Penn Station locations are participating. No coupon is required.

Subway - Subway® is celebrating Sandwich Day by inviting guests to join them in the fight against hunger. Beginning November 3rd through November 9th, guests at participating U.S. Subway® restaurants will have the opportunity to "get a hero and be a hero" with exclusive deals that benefit charities around the world. With every purchase made on the Subway App and Subway.com during this time period, Subway will donate a meal to Feeding America® to help eradicate hunger.

Schlotzsky's - $1.99 Small Sandwich (choice of The Original, Ham & Cheese Original-Style, Smoke Turkey Breast, or Fresh Veggie) for loyalty app users only. The offer will be sent via the app on November 2nd at 9 p.m. EST and is valid on November 3rd only. For those who are not current app users, there will be an additional sign up campaign live on November 3rd only for those who sign up that day to receive the offer. The offer is valid in-store and online.

Corner Bakery Cafe - Buy one sandwich, get one free. Offer can be redeemed on any entrée sandwich. Valid 10/31-11/3.** Offer valid at participating locations. 

Capriotti's - Buy one get one free small hand-crafted sandwiches for loyal fans who order through the CAPAddicts rewards app on National Sandwich Day. 

Quiznos - And the real hero is...Get an 8-inch sub for just $6 (Steak and Prime Rib 8-inch subs are $1 more) on Sandwich Day (November 3) - participating locations only.

Lennys Grill & Subs - VIP Rewards members who purchase any sandwich, salad, or wrap from November 3rd through November 10th will earn 25 bonus VIP Rewards Points (on one purchase only). Any new members that sign up and make a purchase will also be eligible. Visit their website or download their app to sign up.

Cousins Subs - Guests will enjoy a FREE 7 1/2" sub with the purchase of a 7 1/2" sub and any side or drink at 37 participating Cousins Subs locations. A coupon is required and promotion is only valid in-store on Sunday, November 3rd.

Snarf's Sandwiches - This family-owned business with locations in Missouri, Colorado, and Texas is celebrating National Sandwich Day by giving away free t-shirts to the first 25 customers lined up at the door by noon. They are also running a social media contest to make the best sandwich. One lucky sandwich-crafter will win free sandwiches for a year!

Slapfish - This fast-casual award-winning food truck turned brick and mortar seafood concept with 23 locations across the country is honoring National Sandwich Day in a special way by donating all proceeds from the sale of every Clobster Grilled Cheese sandwich sold at their Orange County, California locations on November 3rd to Save The Brave, a non-profit organization that connects veterans through outreach programs. Clobster is a melting mix of lobster, crab and a creamy herb sauce on sourdough bread. YUM.
