National Pretzel Day is April 26th, and some of your favorite eateries are serving up 'twisted' deals and freebies in honor of one of America's most beloved savory snacks!

National Pretzel Day was first declared in 2003 by Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell to acknowledge the importance of the pretzel to the state's history and economy. Pretzels are still a big deal in the Keystone State, whose residents consume about twelve times as many pretzels as the national average! Pennsylvania is also the heart of American pretzel production, producing about 80% of the nation's hard and soft pretzels. That's A LOT of pretzels!

SUPERPRETZEL
While National Pretzel Day is on Friday, Superpretzel will be celebrating on Saturday, April 27th at Love Park in Philadelphia, PA from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Fans can stop by the Superpretzel food truck for free samples, gifts and a photo with JJ, the Superpretzel mascot. At 6:00 p.m. Superpretzel will be hosting a yoga class where they’ll give away free yoga mats to the first 40 people in attendance. Due to inclement weather forecast the event has been moved from Friday to Saturday.
