Real Mom Review: The Hotel ML and CoCo Key Water Resort in Mount Laurel, New Jersey
By Diana Franzese, CertifiKID NYC Family Fun AmbassadorPosted Feb 10, 2020
Located in south New Jersey, just 30 minutes from downtown Philadelphia, The Hotel ML and CoCo Key Water Resort features a 55,000-square foot indoor water park with rides, slides, obstacle courses and aquatic playgrounds for all ages plus luxury overnight accommodations, multiple dining options, and many "dry land" activities.
Our CertifiKID NYC Family Fun Ambassador, Diana Franzese, visited The Hotel ML and CoCo Key Water Resort with her family. They received free accommodations and admission to the water park in exchange for providing an honest review of their experience.

Diana: CoCo Key Water Resort features nine fabulous, fun features on two levels including: two tube slides (single and double), a body slide, hot tubs - indoor and outdoor - for the 18+ crowd, a lazy river, a pool area with a basketball hoop, lily pads, a tot/infant section with a huge pirate ship and baby swings, and their main attraction, a treehouse, which is situated right in the middle of the waterpark.
If you do not have a vest or towels for the kids, you can rent one. There are lockers and bathrooms inside of the waterpark.
If you need to cool off with a Bahama Bay Breeze, or something frozen, there is a bar with a full menu of tropical drinks for adults and a snack bar. The café/bar area is set up with tropical decor. There's also an arcade in the resort, along with a buffet.
Getting There and Getting In
It was quite easy to find on the GPS. It’s a large hotel. You can’t miss it. CoCo Key has a large parking lot with plenty of spaces for their guests.
The local 457 bus passes The Hotel ML. A Greyhound bus goes from Port Authority to the Mount Laurel Station, which is only about a block away from CoCo Key. It’s $19. The NJ Transit takes you to Cherry Hill but you will need a 15-minute cab ride to CoCo Key once you get off at that station.
It took about an hour coming from New York City. There weren’t any lines for the water slides or features, nor were there any lines for check-in, so it went quick.
What Did You Enjoy Most?
My family and I love indoor waterparks, especially when it isn’t quite warm enough in the season for an outdoor waterpark just yet.
Recommended Age Range
My son is 7 yrs old but children of all ages were there enjoying themselves, from parents holding infants in their arms to teens sliding down the water slides.
Time Recommended to Enjoy Activity
If there aren’t any lines, a few hours will get everything in, although most children will want to stay for a lot longer than that.
Food and Drinks
There is an all-you-can-eat buffet located in the hotel and also snacks, fast food and drinks (burgers, chicken tenders, chips) inside of the water park.
Would Your Family Visit Again?
We would definitely visit CoCo Key again because we had such a great time.
